Editorial Policy 

  1. Authors, upon submission, must communicate their acceptance of the following conditions

    • ​The work, upon publication, becomes the property of the National Law University, Jodhpur; and

    • Permissions for any subsequent publication, reprint, or derivative works must be obtained from Solventia

  2. Solventia follows a comprehensive blind review procedure. Solventia shall inform the authors of the acceptance/rejection of their respective manuscript after the completion of the review process.

  3. The permissible limit of plagiarism is 10%, and for usage of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in drafting of the manuscript is 15%. Any manuscript with plagiarism or AI usage exceeding the respective thresholds shall be rejected.

  4. Solventia retains absolute discretion over acceptance/rejection of the manuscripts, and reserves the right to refer to certain manuscripts to the Board of Advisors for review, based on the discretion of the Editorial Board.

  5. Solventia does not entertain requests for advance decisions based on abstracts, topic proposals or outlines. Editorial decisions shall be based solely on a multi-stage review of the final manuscripts submitted by the authors.

  6. Post-review, manuscripts may be returned to the authors with changes or suggestions pertaining to the substance and style of the work. Acceptance of a manuscript may be made contingent on the author incorporating such changes or suggestions.

  7. Solventia reserves the right to request copies of any resources or authorities cited or referred to in the manuscript.

  8. Authors of accepted articles are entitled to receive a complimentary printed copy of the issue in which their article has been published.

  9. The Journal does not charge any monetary amount or fees for at any stage of the editorial review process.

 Editorial Process

  1. Solventia follows a comprehensive blind review procedure. Solventia shall inform the authors of the acceptance/rejection of their respective manuscript after the completion of the review process.

  2. Upon receiving the articles, a Senior Content Editor shall accept or reject the manuscript after review, wherein the editor would satisfy the the following components of the manuscripts:

    •  Adherence to the Plagiarism & AI thresholds

    • Subject Matter Relevance

    • Adherence to the Submission Guidelines

  3. After the approval of the Senior Content Editor, a three-stage blind review process shall be followed by the Editorial Board:

    1. Initial Review: ​The Board undertakes a preliminary review of the manuscript to determine its relevance and contemporariness, along with assessment of the nature of arguments being made, grammar, formatting in consonance with the guidelines.

    2. First Edit​: The shortlisted manuscripts in the first stage, are then subjected to a detailed and comprehensive review with regard to factual correctness, nuances of the arguments, and the manuscript may be sent back to the author(s) with suggested changes. It is expected that the author(s) would be open to incorporating the comments sent by the Editorial Board

    3. Second Edit: After the author(s) sends the manuscript back to the Editorial Board, the editors will assess the satisfaction of the manuscript through the incorporation of the comments, following which the acceptance of the manuscript shall be intimated to the author(s).

  4. The Editorial reserves the right to reject the manuscript till the final acceptance has been communicated to the author(s).

 

Citation Standards

  1. Citations must strictly conform to the standards laid down in the 4th Edition of OSCOLA: The Oxford Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities.

  2. Submissions must use only footnotes as a form of citation.

  3. Speaking/substantive footnotes are discouraged. However, s1peaking footnotes may be allowed solely for the purpose of providing definitions or clarifications.

 

Copyright Policy

  • The author(s) agrees to give Solventia all the necessary rights to produce, distribute and publish the manuscript, including but not limited to offline or online media.​
