Submission Guidelines

MODE OF SUBMISSION
➢ Manuscripts for Volume II, Issue 1 of Solventia, which is tentatively scheduled to be published in March 2025 may be submitted via Google Form latest by 11:59 PM on December 20, 2024
➢ Manuscripts will undergo a three-stage blind review conducted by the Board of Editors of Solventia over the course of eight (8) weeks after the submission deadline for Volume II, Issue 1 has elapsed.
➢ We accept manuscripts year-round, on a rolling basis. In case any manuscript is to be submitted post the aforesaid deadline, the same should be emailed to solventia@nlujodhpur.ac.in, which shall be considered for the subsequent issue, with the following requirements:
  • Subject: Rolling Submission for Solventia
  • Body of the Email: (1) Name of the Author(s) (2) Title of the Submission (3) Designation/Professional Status of the Author(s) (4) Required Declarations as per the Contribution Guidelines.
  • Attachment : The Microsoft Word .Doc/.Docx format of the manuscript should be attached to the email.
➢ Please note that a failure to adhere to the mode of submission shall vest the Editorial Board with the discretion to reject the manuscript from consideration for the issue.

SCOPE OF CONTRIBUTIONS
➢ Each issue contains:
  1. Long Articles, which analyse topics of permanent interest from major national jurisdictions as well as contemporary international issues
  2. Short Articles, which cover topical recent developments and on-going debates in the field, and
  3. Case Notes/Book Reviews
➢ Solventia invites contributions from experienced practitioners, academicians and law
      students on contemporary topics related to Insolvency and Bankruptcy laws, as well as on  jurisdiction-specific themes.
➢ Authors are requested to adhere to the Submission Guidelines. 
➢ Authors are requested to provide a declaration stating that the manuscript is original,  unpublished, and it is not submitted            for consideration to any other law journal.

CONTRIBUTION GUIDELINES
  1. Solventia seeks submissions under the following categories
    • Long Articles - 6,000 to 8,000 words (exclusive of footnotes).
    • Short Articles - 3,000 to 6,000 words (exclusive of footnotes).
    • Case Notes/Book Reviews - 1,500 to 2,000 words (exclusive of footnotes)​
  2. The manuscript may be co-authored by a maximum of three (3) authors.
  3. The manuscript must be topical and related to the subject and scope of Solventia.
  4. The manuscript must contain an abstract of not more than 200 words.
  5. The authors must follow the OSCOLA: The Oxford Standard for Citation of Legal  Authorities for citations and footnotes.
  6. The manuscript must not include a table of contents or numbered paragraphs.
  7. The author must send a separate cover page, apart from the manuscript, which must contain a brief biographical description of the author, and also include the author’s name, affiliation, qualifications and contact details. The manuscript must not contain any mention of or reference to the author’s name, affiliation or credentials.
  8. Solventia accepts manuscripts on a rolling basis. Any manuscript submitted after the  aforesaid deadline will be considered for the subsequent issue.
  9. The manuscript must be contained in a Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) document.
  10. The manuscript must be sent to the Journal via the Google Form, or on the aforementioned email only in the scenario of a submission post the aforementioned deadline. Please note that submissions made through email, within the deadline will not be considered for the issue.
  11. A declaration must be made at the time of submission that the manuscript is an original  and unpublished work of the author(s), and that is not being considered for publication elsewhere.
